Thursday’s Kitchen – Can ACV help get rid of skin tags?

The last couple of years I have been developing these nasty little buggers called skin tags. After some research I found out that they aren’t dangerous, just annoying as they tend to get entangled in my necklace, which rips them and is painful.

I have had enough. So I went to work trying to find a non surgical remedy. I know some people who cut them off, but I am really trying to avoid pain. I keep hearing that Apple Cider Vinegar can get rid of them.

We all have heard of the many amazing benefits of Apple Cider vinegar, but can it really get rid of these pesky little skin tags. Well, I am going to find out and put it to the test. According to everthing on the net it is pretty easy getting rid of them this way, but I have never actually encountered anyonethat has done it this way.

Many people I know who get them either like I said before, cut them off (cringe) or tie them off. So I am going to do it both ways and see which way works better. Of course I will update you all on the progress.

#1 – Tying it off – Clean area with rubbing alochol, using dental floss that is wiped off with rubbing alochol, tie around the skin tag close to the base and knot it firmly, cutting the ends off.   Apparently this takes 3-7 days for it to fall off. In the meantime keep it clean with the rubbing alochol and after it falls off put a bandaid on it until it heals.

#2 – Apple Cider Vinegar – Clean area with warm water and soap, dry it, scratch the top with something abrasive ( I am going to use a toothbrush). Soak a cotton ball in the ACV and squeeze out so its not dripping. Put on the skin tag, cover it with a bandaid and leave on overnight. In the morning rinse the area with warm water, cleansing it good. This apparently takes 3-4 days.

Tonight I will venture out and get all the ingredients I need for this experiment and I will start either tomorrow or Saturday. I will let you all next Thursday what the results are. In the meantime if any of you have tried it this way please let me know your results. Alsom if you have tried another way that was successful for you, please share. 🙂

Wild Card Wednesday – The Earth Mother

Since I had the Green Witch Tarot handy beside me I pulled todays wild card from it. I pulled The Earth Mother.

She is gorgeous, full of life, blossoming in her pregnancy, walking barefoot through wheat fields. The wheat fields are abundant. The cornucopia in her arm is full of fruit brimming over. The geese at her feet love her. She is literally radiating happiness.

For me when I pull this card in a general way she represents health and abundance. Just looking at her you can see that she is happy and healthy. Everything around her is abundant.  If this card is pulled maybe look around yourself and see exactly what you have, you are probably unaware of the abundance already in your life. If you are aware feel grateful for it, smile enjoy what you have.

Depending on the question this could mean pregnancy. Healthy and fertile. It could mean personal growth. It could also mean you are one with the abundance of nature that surrounds you.

Sunday Febraury 11, 2018 – 11 of Water – Balance yourself out to become harmonious inside. An unhealthy balance creates disfunction  or dis-ease. Do not hold back your emotions, get physical, feel love, and keep an open mind.

Thursday’s Kitchen – My Daily Breakfast

Today I am sharing with you my new morning daily breakfast ritual. For years I have been eating not so healthy things for breakfast but recently I have started to eat differently and I am starting to notice a difference in my energy levels as well as my digestive system.

To start my day off I drink two 8oz glasses of warm water. Why you might ask? Because drinking warm water in the morning helps to flush out the toxins you accumulated from the day before, it aids in bowel movements, and it increases you body temperature and in return increases your metabolism which in turn helps your body burn more calories. Yay!

Next I make a green tea with a splash of honey. Green tea also healps to boost your metabolism and the honey serves as an antibody.  What a great way to kickstart your morning.

For my meal I have 1 cup of vanilla greek yogurt and 1/2 cup of either raspberries or sliced strawberries in it. The greek yogurt is packed with protein which is good for your energy levels, it is easy on my non-friendly lactose intolorant belly. It also has probiotics to keep my belly healthy. The high calcium content helps keep my bones strong, and a healthy dose of B12 which aids in my brain function. The raspberries and strawberries are both rich in vitamons, antioxidants and fibre. Strawberries attract success and raspberries can help promote patience, which we all could use a little of in our lives.

So not only have I kickstarted my metabolism, I have now added an energy booster, cleansed my belly and made my bones and mind stronger. On a magica level I have added either some patience or success to my day. What a great start to a magical day, don’t you think?
